Services - Training

Staff training is a requirement for non-residential organisations under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. We provide extensive training for groups of any size.

Fire Safety Awareness

  • Duration: 1 - 1.5 hours
  • Basic fire safety in the workplace with a theoretical look at fire fighting equipment available on site
  • Fire doors, fire alarm systems, emergency action plan, emergency lighting, fire drills and Article 21 & Article 32

Fire Warden Training

  • Duration: 3 - 4 hours
  • All fire safety systems in use, looking at the types of system on site
  • Comprehensive presentation of the job of a fire warden
  • Reaction of persons in fire situations
  • Emergency planning
  • Group discussion on Article 8, 9, 11, 21, 22, 23 & 32

Fire Safety Management

  • Duration: 5 - 6 hours
  • Group discussion on Articles 8 - 23
  • General fire safety management
  • Role of the Responsible and Competent Person(s)
  • Discuss use of the Fire Safety Log Book
  • Testing and Recording
  • Training
  • Fire Drills
  • Signage
  • Reviewing
  • Practical use of FFE
  • Practical/verbal Fire Risk Assessment of your property

All courses comprise of a:

  • Presentation: Discussing the hazards and preventing accidents from occurring
  • Video applicable to the course
  • Onsite inspection & training of your premises
  • Demonstrations: How to use the fire extinguishers, with a chance for everyone in the group to experience discharging an extinguisher
